A few minutes ago, the Ubuntu development team unleashed the Beta version of the up-coming Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) operating system, due for release in October 10th, 2010. The first development build of the next major openSUSE release has now been made available. openSUSE 11.4 Milestone 1 is the first step towards the final build in March next year. In the meantime, there will be six milestone builds and two release candidates.

The second beta of the next GNOME release has arrived full of bug fixes and updates. Many of the standard packages have been updated for GNOME 2.32 Beta 2 (2.31.91) and more translation work has been done.
